The 24th match of the 2019 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will be played between Melbourne Renegades and Hobart Hurricanes at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.
The match starts at 01:00 PM local time (2:00 AM GMT) (7:30 AM IST). The game will be live on Sony Ten 3 and Sony Ten 3 HD in India. Live streaming available on Sony Liv.
After about a five day’s break, the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will be back in action on Saturday. The last time when the Melbourne Renegades met the Hobart Hurricanes in WBBL, they were involved in a thriller. But at this stage of the tournament, where most of the teams have played six games each, both these teams aren’t in the best of spots.
They have won just two matches each thus far and are placed in the lower half of the points table. Since they had a no-result game, the Hurricanes have got an extra point compared to the Renegades. In this break, these teams would have clearly reworked their strategies and would want to get back on track. Two more points to their tally are extremely critical and they will also want to concentrate on the NRR from here on.
It will be a cold, cloudy afternoon on Saturday with the temperatures just hovering around the 13 and 14 Degrees Celsius mark throughout the duration of the game. The humidity levels are expected to be high and there could be strong winds as well. The chances of precipitation are quite low.
It isn’t really the best of batting surfaces here at the Junction Oval and batsmen have got to toil hard. The team that bats first should look to get anything around the 150-run mark. In the last two games at this venue, the side that batted second managed to get over the line.
Average first innings score: 144 (Last three games at this venue in the WBBL)

Thus far in the tournament, Josie Dooley has done quite well and was also part of the Dream11 Team in three out of six games. On the other hand, since she bats way too long down the order, Emily hasn’t had many opportunities with the willow. So, it is better to go ahead with Josie in your Dream11 Fantasy team.
